Drawn to creativity from an early age, she has always found expression through art, a deep connection that continues to shape her studio practice today.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHer paintings are guided by intuition, using color, movement, and layered mark-making, expressing her deepest emotion of the moment. Her paintings are often inspired by the beauty of nature that surrounds her.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe holds a B.S. in Design from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in art education from Manhattanville College. She created and founded Art \u0026amp; Soul, where she led private art classes for children for over 20 years. Most recently, she was employed as a teaching artist for CATA, supporting individuals with disabilities in shaping and developing their own creative voices.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe studied with notable artists such as Skip Morrow, Beverly Todd and Wednesday Nelena Sorokin.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eStatement\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePainting for me is an expression of my emotions and the processing of my daily experiences. Colors, lines, shapes, and composition are guided by intuition and my expressions of the moment. Through rich layered textures, intuitive swift brushstrokes and mark-making, I infuse my paintings with raw emotion and feelings.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLiving by the mountains in the Berkshires and the water in Florida, I am constantly inspired by the nature around me. I am drawn to its organic forms, expansive color and beauty. Rather than interpreting nature realistically, I aim to evoke its essence, beauty and feeling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI am interested in creating a connection and emotional response with my viewer.
