Artist’s Statement In my recent work, I enjoy the interplay of shapes and the challenge of making unexpected abstract compositions in mixed media. I love the interaction of painted color and mark-making with the textures, patterns, and cryptic words found on paper and other additions like fabric. My goal with each work is to create visual balance while adding quirky details to make images that are interesting both up close and from a distance.
