AITB to Open New Gallery-Store-Workshop in Great Barrington!

Art in the Berkshires is thrilled to announce we’re opening a brick-and-mortar space in Great Barrington!

Launching Spring 2026 at 8 Castle Street, our new home brings the AITB mission to life—amplifying the transformative power of art in our community by making it easier to discover, experience, and support Berkshire creativity in one welcoming place.

This space will be a locals’ gallery featuring rotating exhibitions, a curated artisanal shop filled with exceptional work by Berkshire artisans and makers, and a community flex studio designed for workshops, demos, meetups, and creative learning. Whether you’re a collector, a curious visitor, or a local looking for inspiration, you’ll find art here that reflects the talent, heart, and craftsmanship of our region.

Information for artists/artisans/teachers

Calling all artists + artisans: We are actively seeking fine artists, artisans, and makers to represent in our store. We’re especially excited to partner with creators who value quality, originality, and community.

Workshops & community programming:  Starting this summer, we’ll begin opening our studio/workshop space for local teachers, demonstrations, and artsy gatherings—because access, connection, and creativity are how a strong arts community grows. Stay tuned for details on scheduling this space for your next artistic event!
